50 Seniors from 50 States | Join the Senior Adventure

If you’ve been around for some time, you might remember my nickname, “Traveling Ginger.” And if you’re new here, take a peek at the pictures below for a glimpse of how that name came to be. There was a time when I was constantly on the road, camera in hand, capturing adventures across the country (and world)… But as life naturally goes, that was just a season, and now things look a little different for me.

Don’t get me wrong, though—my love for travel is still alive and well! While my new adventure involves less jet-setting and more snuggling with my precious baby girl, I’ve come up with a fun way to combine my passion for capturing seniors and my love for new experiences. So, I’m excited to introduce my latest campaign…

50 from 50

Living in Florida has given me a pretty unique opportunity when it comes to senior portraits. About 80% of the seniors I work with don’t actually live here—they’re just on vacation in the area and want portraits that are different from what their friends back home will have. It didn’t take long before I noticed a pattern in the responses to their senior questionnaires, and that sparked an idea: What if I could photograph 50 amazing seniors from all 50 states?

So, what exactly do I have in mind? The biggest piece of the puzzle—or should I say map—is connecting with seniors from each state. I looked back at some of my recent sessions and realized I’ve already photographed seniors from 8 different states. Some sessions took place in their home states, while others happened here in Florida—so these sessions can happen either way! I’m beyond excited to see this map start filling in.

One of my favorite parts of getting to know each senior is learning fun new facts about where they’re from—like how school breaks align with harvest times, or what a weekend adventure looks like in their neck of the woods.

This campaign is all about connection—connecting with seniors, connecting with new places, and connecting stories from all over the country. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us and the incredible portraits we’ll create together. Whether you’re a senior ready for your close-up or someone who knows an awesome senior, let’s fill in that map, one state at a time!

Can you help me?

Are you a high school senior (or do you know one) from a state outside of Florida? I’d love to hear from you! There are three main ways you can get involved:

  1. Join the Journey: Are you a senior who’d love to be a part of this project? Let’s make it happen!
  2. Share the Love: Help me connect with seniors across the country by spreading the word! Whether it’s through social media, word of mouth, or a quick text to a friend, every share helps bring this vision to life.
  3. Follow The Adventure: Be sure to follow me on social media and keep an eye on the blog for updates, sneak peeks, and behind-the-scenes moments from each session. It’s going to be an adventure full of incredible stories and stunning photographs, and I can’t wait to share it with you!

Besides being part of a unique and fun project, participating in the 50 from 50 campaign means you’ll get senior portraits that stand out from the rest. Imagine looking back at your senior year and having a photo that tells not just the story of who you were, but also where you were—whether it’s against the tropical backdrop of Florida’s beaches or the rolling hills of your hometown. Plus, you’ll be part of a community of seniors who have shared this experience from all over the nation.
