Worthington on Lovelee Lake Wedding | Bradenton, FL

If I had to describe Kathy + Rich’s wedding day in one word.. I would choose, elegant! They chose Worthington on Lovelee Lake as their wedding venue and it embodies the old Florida feel with shabby chic touches around every corner. This property in Ellenton, Florida is nestled beside a lake that you can enjoy the view of from almost everywhere inside. And, if you look close enough, you should even be able to spot a gator or two!

The saying goes that rain on a wedding day is good luck… well, Kathy + Rich have all the luck they could ever need with how much it rained on their wedding day. Thankfully, the entire day was already planned to be indoors so there was no last minute rushing around. Kathy chose touches of mint green as her pop of color to accent white and gold – I think her vision was beautifully brought to life by the amazing team of vendors.

I absolutely loved getting to be a witness to this day. Kathy + Rich share a love rooted in friendship and that is evident through their laughs, smiles, and the bond with all of their friends and family. After the ceremony they kicked the evening off by mingling with guests while the vendor team transformed the space for the reception. Just wait till you see how stunning everything looked!

Kathy + Rich danced their first dance as husband and wife to “I’ve Been Waiting for You” by the Guys Next Door. I had a smile on my face the entire time just watching how much fun they were having together. Everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner together before it was time for toasts and cake cutting to end the evening. Kathy + Rich both had their siblings as their Matron of Honor and Best Man. They both gave great speeches that had the room laughing along with them. Then.. the cake cutting was cut short.. by the sounds of the NFL theme music. Much to Rich’s surprise out came the wedding coordinator with a hat and special Groom’s cake Kathy had secretly requested to represent his love for his favorite football team.. it was PERFECT!
